My box arrived from graze.com, and just in time- I'd eatedn a healthy, balanced breakfast and was starving and was eyeing the chocolate caramel digestives like they were my only hope.
See My Graze Box here
The first thing I thought about the graze box was 'wow, that's small, Are we sure that'll fill me up?' but after just sampling a few things I wasn't nearly as hungry. And it was delicious, too! I've opted for the 'wellbeing' box for this first box, but there are several you can choose from.
The idea is they send you a box made up of nutritionally balanced goodies from a list of likes and dislikes, and you pick at it throughout the day- have a healthy breakfast and dinner, and graze on the box. We'll see how well that works for me. It's nearly lunchtime and all...
On other news, have started exercising at home again. Nothing much, some weights, some crunches, some squats. I'm figuring that the days I'm at home I'll try and get up once an hour and do some exercise. Soon, I will be ridiculously fit again.
Edit- the graze box helped me eat a much healthier lunch than I otherwise would have done. Wholemeal pasta with homemade tomato and vegetable sauce.
Recipe: Please not I do not weigh or measure anything.
About a handful of wholemeal pasta per person eating, cooked to taste.
Sauce:
Garlic
Mushrooms
Broccoli
Peppers
Chopped Tomatoes
Tomato puree
Quarter veg stock cube
Teapsoon marmite
Mixed italian seasoning, pepper, rosemary, all to taste
Mixed beans
Pearl Barley
Olive Oil
Heat the olive oil in a pan, and fry the garlic on a low het. Chop the vegetables, and add to the garlic. Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato puree. Cook together for a few minutes, add the water, stock cube, marmite, beans and barley. Cook. Eat when the sauce has thickened.
Serve with wholemeal pasta, cooked to taste.
I made enough to have some for lunch at work tomorrow.
Kitten attempts to lose weight by eating right, not eating less. Fad diets have been tried previously, but haven't worked. Includes pictures of progress- in undies, if that sort of thing bothers you.

SO, I haven't been updating.
Mainly cause I went kind of crazy (long story short, apparently how I felt every day was not normal but is a sign of longstanding chemical anxiety and depression) And pigged out on junkfood for a month. SOmehow, I still lost weight.
but I've given up on fad diets. They don't work, the make me hungry and depressed and irritated and bored. Instead I have signed up to graze.com and will be eating right, not less. The weight loss will be slower, perhaps, but healthier.
Oh! And I'm getting a bike! A NICE bike.

squee
I am noticing a difference. Yes, already. I have been sticking to the diet pretty well, with delicious evening meals it helps.
I discovered one, extremely important thing.
YOU CAN TURN YOUR MEAL SHAKES INTO AN ICECREAM SUBSTITUTE.
Yeah.
I can have icecream for breakfast on this diet, and still notice my thighs and stomach getting slimmer, and my clothes getting looser, evcen with some forced inactivity thanks to a broken toe.
Icecream and Jelly for breakfast. And still able to eat out. And lose flab. This is all I need.
I have also started using nivea 'my sillhouette cream' to help my skin tighten with the weightloss, and a breast firming cream so they don't sag. Goddamn, I am going to be hot again. Like, this hot again. That's what I aiming for, right there.

struggling
I struggled today, but thanks to the snacks and treats you have have on the plan I didn't feel so bad.
I had my standard meals, with snacks and stuff (btw the vegetable soup is nicer than the tomato) and, as I was struggling, had one of my treat options- a small low cal packet of crisps, and a couple of the healthy snacks. I don't feel like I over-ate, but I do feel like I indukged. It's great. No hideous guilt, and the knowledge that while my weight-loss diet wouldn't be quite so effective today I'm still within my allowance.
Oh, and the flavoured puddings and stuff you can have on the diet? Delish!

coping at work

As promised, pics of body.
Yeah, some work to be done. But, physical record of weight-loss, here we go...
hoo, this was fun. Yesterday I managed it because of busyness- sheer busyness- but today I was in the centre of the city, never more than 2 minutes walk from crisps and chocolate.
Success, however.
Breakfast: Chocolate Mint shake with fibre supplement- I LIKE this. A lot.
Snack- Vegetable crudites with homemade dip
Lunch- soup sachet- this was odd. Edible, but odd. I'll probably learn to like it more.
Snack- grapes
Dinner- Chilli and lime salmon with thai salad, which was delicious. I will probably satisfy my sweet tooth later with the UNLIMITED JELLY I'm allowed to have, and may try these baby spinach crisps they talk about in my ecipe book.
So far, so good. The headaches I was warned about have started, though not the dizziness. I am feeling more energetic, but am also feeling the urge to sleep more, probably all the sugars leaving my system. My skin is getting a little spotty, probably as my body deals with the new diet.
